Historical Background

The establishment of BAHAY PANGARAP WOMEN’S CENTER was conceptualized by Most Reverend Bishop Jose Oliveros, D.D., Rev. Fr. Domingo Salonga and the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) under Mrs. Fortunata B. O’Santos.

Funds were raised for the building construction through the support of the former Governor of Bulacan, Josie M. Dela Cruz, Angelo King Foundation Inc., CWL Membership and various benefactors and friends.

Sister Emiliana O. Bantigue, O.P., a member of the Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph, a licensed social worker was assigned by the Bishop as the Executive Directress of the center.

The blessing and inauguration of the center was held on December 10, 2005 and formally started its operation on June 1, 2006.

Bahay Pangarap was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission and duly registered and licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development.
